Organizing Against Racism and Hate (Prince George) - Embrace BC
Job Title: Volunteer Assistant
Position Type: Occasional Part-time (4 hrs biweekly plus events)
Report to the EN OARH Network Regional Coordinator. The Volunteer Assistant is responsible for keeping up-to-date on weekly project reporting and assisting the OARH coordinator with brainstorming, planning and executing events that best address issues of racism and hate in Prince George within the project parameters. Creative thinking, intellectual curiosity and consistency in performing office tasks are central to this position.
Duties will include:
The main things to bring to this position are an honest interest in equality for all people, and a willingness to learn. Many of the skills needed to perform this task can be taught, and OARH is happy to contribute to the professional development of the successful applicant. Completion of tasks and acquiring of new skills will be noted and contribute to recommendations for employment that are written on your behalf. In consideration of the fact that this is an unpaid position, additional professional development will be offered whenever possible.
